Appraisals are undertaken for furniture that merits careful research and professional valuation, rather than common or average quality antique furniture items.

Appraisals consider quality of construction, materials, condition, originality, provenance, and relevant market data, with particular attention to pieces whose quality, rarity, or context support a formal appraisal.

Each appraisal is carefully researched, prepared, and substantiated in compliance with USPAP standards and is suitable for IRS, insurance, estate, legal, and planning purposes. Clients with general household or lower-value furniture are often better served by auction estimates or resale venues rather than a formal appraisal.
