Join Our Network | Personal Property Appraisers & Specialists Nationwide

The Expert Appraisal Company maintains a national network of credentialed personal property appraisers and subject matter experts. We are selectively expanding that network,  and if you are a qualified professional looking for quality work, without the overhead of business development, client management, or administrative burden, we would like to hear from you.

We have built a trusted brand and are securing client relationships based on it. We handle the client relationships, scope the assignments, and manage compliance review. You do the work you are already good at, and get paid for it.

Personal Property Appraisers

Do the work. Skip the business development.

If you are a credentialed personal property appraiser, you already know that a significant portion of your time goes toward things that are not appraising — prospecting, client communication, invoicing, and administrative follow-up. When you work with Expert Appraisal Company, that side of the equation disappears.

We provide the assignments, secured through market presence and client relationships we have spent years developing. You conduct the inspection, document the objects, conduct research, and where appropriate, complete the report. We handle everything else: client management, scope definition, and USPAP compliance review.

Engagements are per-assignment, flat-rate, and clearly scoped before you commit to anything. There is no exclusivity requirement. Whether you are building your practice, running an independent operation, or affiliated with another firm, you are welcome in our network. We are not concerned about competition – we are focused on finding the right appraiser for the right assignment.

What working with us looks like:

  • You receive a clearly defined assignment in your region with scope and compensation agreed upfront
  • You conduct the in-person inspection and any required documentation or reporting
  • We review the work, handle client delivery, and co-sign the final report
  • You get paid a flat rate — no invoicing delays, no chasing clients

We are selectively adding appraisers with demonstrated competence across all personal property categories, including fine art, decorative arts, antiques, estates, jewelry, equipment, and FF&E. Demonstrated knowledge of USPAP standards and active credentials with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), Appraisers Association of America (AAA), International Society of Appraisers (ISA), or a comparable organization are required.

If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out directly to Elizabeth at elizabeth@expertappraisalco.com to schedule a short chat.

Subject Matter Experts

Get paid for knowledge you already have.

You have spent years, or decades, developing deep expertise in a specific area of personal property. That knowledge has value beyond your primary work, and we would like to compensate you for it.

Expert Appraisal Company engages recognized experts on a consulting basis for research support, market analysis, and technical consulting on complex property. These are discrete, well-defined engagements, compensated at your agreed hourly or per item rate.

We work with specialists across a huge range of personal property categories, including specific artists and genres, ethnographic material, specialized equipment, niche fields of art and collectibes, and other areas where deep subject knowledge is essential to a credible valuation.

Appraisal credentials are not required. If you are a scholar, dealer, researcher, curator, or specialist with recognized expertise in a personal property category, we want to know about you. Whether you are actively working in your field or have stepped back from day-to-day practice, your knowledge has a place in our network.

There is no obligation to take every engagement we bring to you. We simply want to know who you are and what you know, so that when the right assignment comes along, we can reach out. If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out directly to Elizabeth at elizabeth@expertappraisalco.com to schedule a short chat.
